Ask them the question. How many dogs have they trained? How
many titles have they achieved themselves with their dogs?
To title a dog is very important. This means if your trainer
has earned either a CDX, UD, RA, RE or RAE in obedience or
Rally obedience they have successfully trained a dog to work
off-leash in the presence of three different judges or more
in three different venues or more without the
use of an electronic device.
Plus, the skill level of these dogs with such titles are
quite high. They have demonstrated off-leash skills that
have generalized to the settings other thanthe dog’s own
backyard. This includes agility trainers as well. If they
have received a MACH, PACH, PAX or Masters titles then you
can be sure they do have basic knowledge of the sport.
All of our instructors at Xcel Canine Training Center
possess such titles and skill knowledge.
