Kim Melen

I am a retired gynecologist who started training at Xcel in 2010 with my Dalmatian, Willow, my first agility dog. The following year I rescued Redford, my Basset Hound. Both dogs have excelled in agility. I’ve trained 

and competed with Willow in AKC Agility since 2012. 

In 2017 Willow was the #1 AKC Preferred Competition Dalmatian in the country. In 2018 she is the #1 AKC Preferred Agility Dalmatian. 

Redford also competed in AKC Agility, reaching the Excellent level of competition and holds three AKC Agility titles. He is a Therapy Dog and a Canine Good Citizen. He also holds a CPE Agility title. 

I am now enjoying teaching classes at XCel in addition to doing my own agility training and AKC competitions.
